Heather Ondercin

Heather Ondercin is an assistant professor at Appalachian State University in the Department of Government and Justice Studies. She received a Ph.D. in Political Science and Women’s Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. Previously, she held positions at Louisiana State University, University of Mississippi, the College of Wooster and Wichita State University.

Her research and teaching fall at the intersection of mass political behavior and identity politics in the United States. She is concerned with dynamic political processes and covers a wide variety of topics in political behavior, including political participation, political knowledge, voting, partisanship, and political attitudes.
