He is the editor of A Galaxy Not So Far Away: Writers And Artists On 25 Years of “Star Wars” (Holt/Owl, 2002) and the author of Anatomy of an Actor: Robert De Niro (Phaidon/Cahiers du Cinema, 2014). He has appeared as an actor in the motion pictures The Girlfriend Experience (2009) and God’s Land (2010). He lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife Claire.
