Eric Tuchman

Eric Tuchman is an Executive Producer/Co-Showrunner with Yahlin Chang of the sixth and final season of Hulu/MGM’s The Handmaid’s Tale. For the series’ first season, Tuchman won an Emmy Award, two WGA Awards, a PGA Award, and a Golden Globe. He received three additional Emmy nominations and four more WGA Award nominations for his work on the show.  

Tuchman wrote the Animation Adaptation for the Fox animated musical Anastasia (Annie Award nomination, 1998) and was the Showrunner of ABC Family’s breakout hit series Kyle XY.  He was a writer-producer on TV series including the CBS classic Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Syfy’s Eureka and Alphas, and Freeform’s Stitchers, and wrote an episode ofthe HBO anthology Dear America (WGA Award nomination, 2000). 

His first produced credit as a writer is the 1997 independent feature Just in Time directed by then up-and-coming Shawn Levy.  His TV movies include Fox Family’s Time Share starring Nastassja Kinski and Timothy Dalton, Starz’s Rhapsody in Bloom starring Penelope Ann Miller, ABC Family’s Three Days starring Kristin Davis, and Lifetime’s limited series Beach Girls starring Rob Lowe and Julia Ormond.  

Tuchman is a New Yorker at heart who loves and lives in Los Angeles. He enjoys listening to music, playing tennis, and mostly, spending time with his wonderful family.
