Edith Widder is an oceanographer and marine biologist. She is the cofounder, CEO, and a senior scientist at the Ocean Research and Conservation Association, a non-profit organization that working to preserve and protect the oceans. She is the author of Below the Edge of Darkness: A Memoir Exploring Light and Life in the Deep Sea.
