Dr. Kristen Bernard

Kristen Bernard is the director of Veterinary Virology in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She is an expert on zoonotic viruses, which are transmitted between animals and people. She currently works on mosquito-borne and tick-borne viruses, and worked with the SARS virus, after it first emerged in 2003.
