Daniel Smith is president and CEO of Cooperative Network. He’s a UW-Madison graduate, worked on his family’s farm in northwestern Illinois, and worked as a crisis counselor for farms. He also served as administrator for the Division of Agricultural Development at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. His book of poetry, inspired by farming life, is called “Ancestral.”
