Dan Froomkin is the founder of the political journalism intervention website Press Watch. He’s been a reporter, columnist, and editor with a focus on coverage of U.S. politics and media. An outspoken proponent of accountability journalism, he wrote the popular “White House Watch” column at The Washington Post from 2004 to 2009. During a nearly three-decade long career in journalism, which started in local news, he has served as the senior Washington correspondent and bureau chief for The Huffington Post, as editor of WashingtonPost.com, and as deputy editor of NiemanWatchdog.org.
