Chris McIntosh was named director of the UW-Madison athletic department in June 2021, succeeding longtime director Barry Alvarez. He was a Badger football player at the position of offensive tackle and captain of the team during their back to back Rose Bowl championships in 1998 and 1999. He was also a first-round draft choice of the Seattle Seahawks in 2000 and played in Seattle for three seasons.
