Camila grew up in Jundiaí (a city 40 minutes away from São Paulo city in Brazil). She received her BA in Biology from the University of Campinas (Unicamp) Brazil in 2007 and obtained her PhD degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the same university. Camila joined the Currie Lab in the fall of 2015. When not emerged in science, Camila enjoys cooking, making cheese, watching movies, and philosophical conversations in bars.
