A native of Germantown, Wisconsin, Supervisory Special Agent Bret Kressin graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Masters in Accounting. Bret began his career with the IRS as a Criminal Investigation Special Agent in 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After a stint at IRS Headquarters in Washington, DC, Special Agent Kressin was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent for the Madison field office in 2015. The Madison field office is responsible for investigating tax crimes in the western half of Wisconsin.
