Betsy Piper

Betsy Piper was born in Germany and grew up in Chicago. She moved to Madison in 1969. and started working at the French House on the UW-Madison campus part-time in 1981. A year later, she became the French House’s full-time chef, a role that she continued in until her retirement in 2013. She has traveled across France, Morocco, Spain, Germany, Norway and more in search of different culinary cultures.

Piper teaches cooking classes at All Through the House in Stoughton, which she has done for over a decade.
