Barry J. Jacobs

Julia L. Mayer, Psy.D., and Barry J. Jacobs, Psy.D., are psychologists who have been married for thirty years. Both have been practicing with individuals and couples for nearly thirty years. They co-authored AARP Meditations for Caregivers: Practical, Emotional, and Spiritual Support for You and Your Family and have written articles for WebMD and HealthCentral together. They travel the country and beyond, giving talks on positive caregiving, and they have been on many radio shows and podcasts. They have two grown children. Barry is a clinical psychologist, family therapist, and a principal at Health Management Associates, a national healthcare consulting firm. In his practice, he specializes in individuals and couples over fifty.
