Ayad Akhtar is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and playwright. He is the author of the novel American Dervish,the plays Junk, The Who & The What and The Invisible Hand and the screenplay The War Within. His most recent book is Homeland Elegies. Akhtar was recently named the new president of PEN America, the literary and human rights organization.
