Audrey Gasch is a Professor of Genetics at UW-Madison. She is also Interim Director of the newly formed Center for Genomic Science Innovation on campus. The Center looks at developing genomic approaches to address modern problems in medicine, agriculture and basic scientific discovery. She currently manages the Gasch Lab at UW-Madison which examines how cells respond to environmental stresses and how defects in the process underlie disease and dysfunction. Plus, the lab performs DNA sequencing to understand how DNA differences make individuals different from one another. Her research includes genetics and medical genetics, Evolutionary & Population Genetics, and Gene Expression.
