Arleen Tuchman

Arleen Tuchman is the Nelson O. Tyrone, Jr. Professor of History and former Director of the Center for Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin‑Madison in 1985 and has been teaching at Vanderbilt since 1986. She is the author of “Science, Medicine, and the State in Germany,” and “Science Has No Sex: The Life of Marie Zakrzewska, M.D.”
