Alyson Brokaw is a behavioral ecologist, science communicator and the author of “The Weird and Wonderful World of Bats: Demystifying These Often-Misunderstood Creatures,” published this year by Timber Press. Brokaw is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
