Alvin Thomas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the School of Human Ecology at the UW–Madison. His research focus is on positive youth development and father involvement especially among Black families. He is the director of the Thomas Resilient Youth Lab, at UW-Madison. The lab researches father-child relationships. He is the host of the Black Fatherhood Podcast that aims to educate, validate and elevate the importance of Black fatherhood.
