Health insurers don’t always cover mental disorders the same way they do physical ailments. There is afederal law on mental health parity. However it allows insurers to charge higher co-pays and deductibles. A new version named after the late senator Paul Wellstone seeks to close what some consider loopholes. The bill’s currently stalled in a congressional committee. Advocates are hoping to jump start the issue by taking a road tour of six cities.Shamane Mills reports…
