Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, will return to Wisconsin as part of a battleground state blitz by the Kamala Harris campaign.
The series of campaign visits will follow the debate between Harris, the Democratic nominee, and former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, which will take place Tuesday in Philadelphia.
“With early voting about to begin and less than 60 days until Election Day, our campaign will take the vice president’s message directly to the voters wherever they are – on the airwaves, on the doors, and online,” said Harris-Walz campaign Communications Director Michael Tyler in a statement announcing the visits.

It will be Walz’s second event in Wisconsin in as many weeks. He was in Milwaukee during Labor Day Weekend. The exact date and location of his post-debate visit has not been released.
Harris will kick off this blitz on Sept. 12 in North Carolina. The campaign – including Harris’ spouse, Doug Emhoff, and Walz’s spouse, Gwen Walz – will also visit the swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada and Georgia. They will also make appearances in the safer Democratic states of Arizona, New Hampshire and Maine, and Trump’s home state of Florida, which leans red.
Both campaigns have visited Wisconsin repeatedly in recent weeks. Trump was in central Wisconsin Saturday, seeking to boost rural turnout, and President Joe Biden made his first visit to the state as a Harris surrogate – rather than as a candidate himself – last week, where he highlighted clean energy investments.
