Walker’s BadgerCare proposal could lead to big changes

By

Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker says that if elected he’d work to stop large employers from “dumping” workers onto Wisconsin’s BadgerCare Plus health insurance program. To do that, Walker says he’d look at who’s eligible for BadgerCare and make sure it’s only being used by people who really need it.

The statement sounds simple enough. But as Shawn Johnson reports, it could mark a major change in the direction of BadgerCare since it was first started in Wisconsin more than a decade ago.
