A Madison-based human rights group hopes to use the heroic story of a rape survivor in Pakistan to promote equality for women all over South Asia.The inspiration for the campaign is Mukhtar Mai, a village woman who endured a horrific gang rape on the orders of her local village council, and then brought her attakers to trial.She spoke to an audience of more than 200 on the UW Madison Campus on Friday.Gil Halsted reports…
