Pending Madison plan may fine parents for errant kids’ activities

When children repeatedly cause problems in a neighborhood, the question always comes up: Where are the parents?In Madison, the city council is considering getting parents’ attention by issuing fines to adults whose children harass neighbors or commit vandalism, or other ordinance violations.The idea is already being tried out in the Village of North Fond du Lac.WPR’s Terry Bell talked with Sergeant Donovan Heavener about the initiative.
