National Case Puts Scrutiny on Lending Practices


Student loan practices are under fire in New York for a program involving what that state’s attorney general referred to as “kickbacks.” UW Madison does not have so-called preferred lenders for its students, but like financial aid officials across the country, they’ve been paying attention to the case.
