Milwaukee police say Milwaukee Alderman Joe Dudzik died Thursday night from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash around 11:30 p.m.
A Police Department news release issued Friday morning said the 56-year-old alderman was operating his 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the 7400 block of West Morgan Avenue on Milwaukee’s southwest side, when he struck barricades warning of a construction site. Dudzik was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
Dudzik was elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in 2002 and represented the 11th District. He worked for the city’s public works department for more than 20 years.
