Invasive carp species, needed for fish farming, remain unregulated

Beginning next month, it’ll be illegal to move silver carp and large-scale silver carp across state lines.The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service approved the ban, to help keep the invasive fish out of susceptible ecosystems like the Great Lakes. But the ban won’t affect two species of troublesome carp, thanks in part to the southern catfish industry.Adam Hinterthuer reports…
