Georgia Thompson Acquitted

A Chicago Court of Appeals has aquitted the state employee who was accused of steering a state contract to one of the Governor’s political donors.Georgia Thompson was ordered released from prison yesterday… almost immediately after a panel of three judges heard oral arguments in her appeal.

The decision ends what’s been a tumultuous ordeal for Thompson… and to a lesser degree… for Governor Jim Doyle.Wisconsin Public Radio’s Shawn Johnson reports…
