Fond du Lac residents unsure if a new sales tax can save jobs

Fond du Lac County’s first ever sales tax went into effect this week. Most of the money it raises will be used to pay off a $50 million loan that county officials took out to keep Mercury Marine and nearly 6,000 jobs in the area.
