Governor Jim Doyle will have to decide soon whether to sign off on a plan that loosens restrictions on rent-to-own companies. The industry leases everything from TV’s to washing machnes on a week-to-week basis and gives customers who make enough payments the chance to buy their products.The plan’s provisions are similar to those Doyle lambasted when he was state Attorney General.But as Governor, Doyle’s tone has changed.Shawn Johnson reports…
