Wisconsin’s budget director is warning of deeper spending cuts and more layoffs than the state has ever seen. That word one day before Governor Doyle’s budget repair bill is introduced to a special session of the legislature. The bill aims to stem an immediate defecit emergency in the state. At the same time, Governor Doyle is announcing first steps to trim spending in his own office. Frederica Freyberg with more.
