Doyle creates “Stewardship Day,” buys state land for protection

Governor Doyle has announced the purchase of nearly 11, 000 acres of land across Wisconsin as part of the stewardship program. Doyle declared Wednesday (6/27/07) “Stewardship Day” and urged the legislature to continue to fund the program at $105 million a year as proposed in his budget. Sandra Harris reports…
