Delayed Legislation Affecting Food Reserves

During the holiday season, people feeling generous keep their local food pantries stocked with supplies for those less fortunate.But while shelves are full overall, the supply of government surplus food has hit a low point at some Wisconsin pantries.That’s because the 2007 Farm Bill has been stalled for a long time in Congress.Government-supplied food is important for keeping pantries full year-round, especially when individual donations are low.
