Commitee Votes to Open New Lisbon Prison

Republicans on the legislature’s joint finance committee voted to spend 7-million dollars to open a 950-bed prison in New Lisbon.This could bring home some out-of-state prisoners.At the same time, the committee cut nearly some 25-million dollars from the state’s corrections budget.
