Astronaut touches back down on terra firma

After nearly six months in Earth’s orbit, Wisconsin astronaut Colonel Jeffrey Williams landed safely in the Kazakhstan desert early this morning.We have the sounds of that Soyuz capsule re-entry, beginning with the hatch closing at the International Space Station midnight last night, narrated by NASA-TV’s Rob Navias.Williams is in good health and is expected to be home in Houston in about a week.His parents still live on the family farm in Winter, Wisconsin…
