1. Jim Stubblefield ‘Beyond The Horizon’ Alb Tk 1 4.00
Originally from Californian, Jim Stubblefield began playing guitar seriously in high school where he studied various rock guitar styles dating back when he first heard his mom play records by the Beetles. Stubblefield is musically quite comfortable these on many styles of music including those with a Latin texture. 2. Ravi Bal & Daljit Mattu ‘Captain Bhangre Da’ Cmpl Tk 2 4.54
From its humble beginnings, as a folk dance genre in northwest India, bhangra-the British/Asian phenomenon, has evolved into an energetic and highly popular nightclub and dance music. Here is a sample of the bhangra flavor called Cahp-tahn B’hahn-gree Dah featuring composer Zha-vee Bahl and singer Doll-jeet Mah-two.

3. Kaya ‘Vulamasango’ Alb Tk 11 3.13
Kai-yah is an Afro Pop band hailing from South Africa. Voo-Lah-Mah-San-go (Open Doors) tells of young man who has been unfaithful to his girlfriend. Pleading for forgiveness the man seeks reconciliation with his girlfriend’s parents by offering them lobola, the African custom of paying the fiancée’s family, a dowry. They refuse his offer and request him to vu-la-ma-san-go-open the doors and depart.
