The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting that wounded a man in Beaver Dam.

Beaver Dam police were called to a domestic incident Friday night. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the officers “reacted to a situation involving a firearm,” and that preliminary information shows that law enforcement fired shots.

Authorities say a 35-year-old Beaver Dam man was “shot in the lower extremities.” He was taken into custody and transferred to UW Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
