- 5 Vanilla beans*
- 4 oz Vodka (a step or two below top shelf)
- Get a bottle that is 4 to 6 oz.
- Buy Vanilla beans (my favorite source is Olive Nation – Inexpensive beans from Madagascar. They are the best.)
- Slit the beans lengthwise leaving about ¼ inch at the top and bottom so that the bean does not slit wide open.
- Put in 5 beans for every 4 oz of vodka.
- Fill the bottle with vodka to cover the bean completely.
- Store in a cabinet for 2 months. This will make the most vanilla vanilla that you have ever tasted.
