UW-Madison officials chose the book “Just Mercy” as part of their Go Big Read community reading program to encourage discussion about inequality in America. Our guest discusses her experience reading the book for WPR’s Chapter A Day program. We also listen to some folk music originally written by poets, and we look at the president’s anouncement that the current level of troops will remain in Afghanistan through 2016.
