Found Footage Festival’s Nick Prueher Dredges VHS Era For Laughs

Pranks Target His Mom, Produce Aisle And Local Morning News Shows

Stoughton, Wisconsin native Nick Prueher has been in the news lately because he and Found Footage Festival co-creator Joe Pickett are being sued for a prank they pulled on-air during an Eau Claire TV news morning show.

Just before that news broke, WPR’s Haleema Shah and Chris Malina had a chat with Prueher about his love of pranks, including dressing his mom up in heavy metal T-shirts and putting fake stickers on fruit in the produce aisle.

They also talked about the origins of FFF and the back stories of a couple of the festival’s greatest hits, like the uncomfortably interactive “Rent-A-Friend”:
