Our traditional Christmas concert, this year entitled Ravel/Noël, will commemorate the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth. In addition to selected choruses from GF Handel’s ‘Messiah’, we will present a new choral–orchestral piece based on Ravel’s work—the world premiere of a piece by British-American composer Donald Fraser, ‘Homage a Ravel’, commissioned by Festival Choir.
