For decades, the Racine Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition has showcased the most advanced, young classically trained musicians in Racine County. This prestigious event is adjudicated by regional professional musicians, with the competition winner earning the opportunity to perform a concerto with the Racine Symphony Orchestra during the 2025–26 season.
Recent winners include Fath Weigand (2025), Magdalena Masur (2024), and Lydia Morency (2023)—each a shining example of the incredible talent fostered through this program.
Held at UW-Parkside’s Bedford Hall, the competition is free and open to the public, offering a unique chance to witness the dedication and artistry of Racine’s finest young musicians. Join us for an inspiring afternoon and celebrate the future of classical music!
