The Marathon County Historical Society presents our annual “Voices from the Past: An Historical Walk through Pine Grove Cemetery” on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Pine Grove Cemetery 1501 Grand Avenue in Wausau. The first tour will leave at 11 a.m. and the last tour will begin at 2 p.m. rain or shine.

Costumed re-enactors will tell stories from Marathon County’s past as groups of visitors walk a guided route through Pine Grove Cemetery. To celebrate the 175th anniversary of Marathon County we’ll highlight notable figures buried at Pine Grove that made our county strong and vibrant.
