An evening of contemporary classical music. The ensemble is dedicated to the performance of current compositions by contemporary composers whose works are related to the tradition of “written-out music” (concert music) which has been a mainstay of Western musical culture for many years. Founded in 2019, the ensemble comprised of Madison’s professional musicians, play music of the present day, in most cases for the first time to local audiences.
Composers to be performed include Libby Larsen, Chris Cerrone, Joseph Koykkar (premiere), Jessie Montgomery, and others.
