Local history author Andrea Nolen will speak at Leopold’s Books, Bar, Caffe on Oct 21, 2025 from 6-8 PM. “Lincoln’s Counterfeiters” chronicles the rise and fall of a counterfeiting gang which was sponsored by President Lincoln and operated in Southern Wisconsin. After 1871, the gang’s leaders went on to found Chicago’s mob and sponsored Ziegfeld’s Follies as well as the New Age Movement. No cover, Leopold’s is located at 1301 Regent Street.
