The annual art tour of artists’ studios and galleries in the Wisconsin Northwoods of Sawyer, Washburn and Bayfield Counties will return August 8-9-10. The hours will be Friday and Saturday 10-5 and Sunday, 11-3. The CHARAC Art Crawl is an event of the Cable Hayward Area Arts Council.
Forty-three artists with a variety of creative offerings will welcome visitors and art collectors and some will demonstrate their skills. These artists are at 22 sites that range geographically from just north of Cable, east to Winter, south to Stone Lake and west to Springbrook – with Hayward the central hub.
The tour is often but not entirely handicap accessible. Admission is free. All ages are welcome. Pets are not encouraged.
This self-guided tour has a comprehensive brochure and map as well as temporary road signage to guide visitors to the sites. Brochures with a map are at many businesses and area Chambers of Commerce. More information is available at www.artcrawlwi.org.
