Past soloist Brant Taylor, cellist from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, returns to help us celebrate our 25th! Joining him in the Brahms Double is Stephen Rose from the Cleveland Orchestra. Also featured on this performance is a remarkable piece by William Dawson that is often considered the greatest symphony by an American composer. The overture, from Glinka’s Russlan and Ludmilla, is the same piece that opened Music Director David Anderson’s first concert with the LGSO in 2010.
