National education advocacy group says that remedial courses cost millions

An education think tank says nationwide, 40 percent of all first-year college students will need remedial courses . The percentage is lower at the26 University of Wisconsin campuses, where data shows one-fifth are not ready for the rigors of math. Shamane Mills reports.
