Retired Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wetland ecologist Pat Trochlell examines wild grasses in the sand along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Kohler-Andrae State Park. Trochlell says the proposed golf course would destroy globally rare and irreplaceable interdunal wetlands and ecologically significant ridge and swale wetlands, as well as a variety of rare plants and insects.
