Changes To Policing, Weekly Congress Update, Abortion Restrictions May Be Ahead

Air Date:
Heard On Central Time

After weeks of debate, Congress has passed a bill funding the Department of Homeland Security through September. The bill doesn’t propose any changes to the President’s immigration reform plan, which many Republicans wanted to pursue. We get the story behind how the bill passed, and what else is happening on Capitol Hill this week. We also look at how American policing could be changing in a post-Ferguson world. Plus, state lawmakers may be considering tougher restrictions on abortion rights. We’ll hear from one lawmaker who’d support such restrictions, and from a group who opposes any further regulations on abortions.
