Service Industry workers spend the better part of their work days interacting with customers, resolving issues that may or may not be their responsibility, and putting on a “public face” to serve customers. We talk with an expert about the toll that takes on those workers. We also discuss if Milwaukee’s police chief position which is currently an appointed position could benefit from becoming an elected one and the state Department of Corrections has missed the deadline to outfit corrections officers with body cameras despite a mandate from the Governor and other state lawmakers.

Wisconsin Department Of Corrections Misses Deadline To Provide Body Cameras To Corrections Officers
Guards at six state prisons have not received body cameras despite a mandate from Governor Walker and lawmakers at the Capitol. The state Department of Corrections has said that an issue with suppliers is behind the delay and that four prisons will receive the cameras by the end of the year. Molly Beck of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel joins us to talk about what lawmakers and prison officials are saying about the issue.
