    The Children’s Health Insurance Program–or, CHIP–insures more than nine million children throughout the United States. It’s a federal program that has largely received support from both sides of the aisle but as of September hadn’t been reauthorized. Congress did approve a stop-gap injection of money to keep the program afloat through the new year, but it’s estimated to run out by March. We speak with Jon Peacock of Kids Forward about the future of CHIP and how states might be fare if the program isn’t reauthorized long-term.
